Privacy Policy

Order Editing ("we", "our", or "the App") is a Shopify application that lets a store's customers adjust item quantities and shipping/contact details on a recent order from the post-checkout Thank You page, within a limited editing window.

1. Data We Collect

• Shop data: When a merchant installs the App, we collect the Shopify store domain and an OAuth access token to interact with the Shopify Admin API on the merchant's behalf.
• Session data: Session tokens are stored in a secured MongoDB database to keep the App authenticated with Shopify.
• Order data: When a customer uses the order-editing widget on the Thank You page, we read and update line item quantities, shipping address, phone number, and email for that specific order via the Shopify Admin API. We do not retain a separate copy of this order data outside of what Shopify itself stores.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect payment information, and we do not use order or customer data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than fulfilling the requested order edit.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate the merchant's store and maintain the App session.
• To verify whether a given order is still within its editable window.
• To apply the quantity, address, phone, or email changes a customer submits, via the Shopify Admin API.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties. We use MongoDB Atlas (cloud database) to store session data, subject to their Privacy Policy, and Railway to host the App, subject to their Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Session data is retained for as long as the App remains installed on a store. When the App is uninstalled, associated data is deleted in accordance with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, shop redact).

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or by having the merchant uninstall the App. For GDPR/CCPA requests, email us at the address below.
